Organization Structure of the College
Our (B.Ed) Institution is
recognized as one of the best and noted colleges of Education
for the unique, excellent and value-based education. It
also aims to imbibe ‘teachers-trainees’ with
an attitude of positive thinking, to develop DASOHA CULTURE,
human values, life skills, democratic values …, etc.
the institution also has mission to foster creativity and
practicality in the process of ‘true teaching’
and ‘true learning’, so that, ‘the teacher-trainees’
acquire creative and practical skills to compete the rapid
changing and most challenging world. Our B.Ed. College is
housed in a big, spacious and FULL BEAUTIFUL BUILDING situated
in the divine environment. At SSKB Campus ,Under SHARANBASAVAESHWAR
VIDYA VARDHAK SANGH’S KALBUARGI which bears the name
of ‘the great Personality ’ Poojya Doddappa
Appaji.
The patriotism and the profound love for the language of
Mahadasohi Doddappa Appa was considered as an anti-national
by the traitors and the rulers. Therefore the fanatic traitors
attacked the Sharnbasveshwar Samsthana, Doddappa Appa rendered
service to the freedom struggle. attack on the Mahadasoha
Peetha echoed in the Congress session, which was being conducted
at Belgaum under the Presidentship of Mahatma Gandhi. Condemning
the att, a resolution was passed in the session unanimously.
The Ali brothers were sent to Gulbarga to study the attack.
Later, on 21-1-1925 Mahatma Gandhiji came to Gulbarga and
seeking blessings of Poojya Doddappa Appaji, consoled him.
Poojya Doddappa Appaji believed that "service to nation
is service to God". So he generously contributed to
the Tilak Fund, which was being collected by Gandhiji.He
was delighed to take suffering from others and joy that
comes from helping others. So, on his Punyatithi, mankind
has to pledge and learn the spirit of giving and caring
for members and helping the needy people i.e. Dasoha. Even
to this day, people from far and wide nock to his Dasoha
Mahamane and Samadhi for fulfillment of their heart's desire.
His spiritual existence and his Dasoha life and Philosophy
are culturally and traditionally continued by his successor,
descendant Poojya Dr. Sharnbaswappa Appa, 8th Mahadasoha
Peethadhipati, Dasoha as a pathand as a way of life. In
1918 Mahadasohi Doddappa Appa established the Sharnbasveshwar
Public Library and heralding the dawn of the Sharnbasveshwar
Vidya Vardhaka Sangha. His purpose was to awaken the people
of this area to the spirit of nationalism, organization,
social unity and the significance of independence. This
area was denied expossire to any new aid modern ideas. Poojya
Therefore the news of the The Nizam of Hyderabad heard about
Mahatma Gandhiji's visit to Gulbarga.
Poojya Dr. Appaji the 8th in the spiritual line of Lord
Sharnbasveshwar and the President of the Sharnbasveshwar
Vidya Vardhak Sangh, played a pivotal role and was pioner
in bringing and establishing P.G. Centre at Gulbarga prior
to the one that was established in Belgaum at later stage.
This was possible as he was the President of PG. Centre
Development Committee that later provided the way for establishment
of and Independent University progressing with leaps and
bounds in a short span of time.
Mahadasohi Doddappa Appa played an important role in starting
first school for women distinction of heading this institution
and as the President Hyderahad-Karnataka Education Society
which runs Medical, Engineering and other colleges. all
these institutions the teacher and taught were about 50,000
under his control. Coupled with he Women, which was also
a first Kannada Media School in Gulbarga. In the same way
Poojya Dr Sharnbaswappa Appa is pioneer who played important
role in starting P.G. Centre at Gulbarga and in developing
it as Independent University in a shortest period.
